Artistic Statement
For me, theatre is about human connection—creating shared experiences that bring people together in unexpected ways. I approach every role with a genuine curiosity, aiming to uncover what makes each character tick and find the truth in their story. Even in the zaniest of shows like The Rocky Horror Show or Little Shop of Horrors, there is an earnest heart that I focus on bringing with depth and authenticity every performance. My goal isn’t just to entertain but to offer a glimpse into the human experience that feels honest and relatable.
I draw my inspiration from the world around me—the people I meet, the conversations I have, and the small, everyday moments that reveal something true about our shared lives. I’m always looking for new ways to approach a role, whether that means diving into the psychology of a character or finding the physicality that makes them real. For me, acting is about exploring the questions that connect us all: What drives us? What do we fear? How do we love? Each role is a chance to learn something new, both about myself and the world.
While acting is at the core of what I do, I’ve also worked as a director, artistic director, and in lighting and scenic design. These experiences have not only made me a better actor, but taught me the value of collaboration and given me a broader perspective on the storytelling process. Whether I’m performing, directing, or working behind the scenes, I’m committed to creating theatre that resonates, invites connection, and leaves space for audiences to see a bit of themselves in the story.
